Join us for a screening of ‘Ashram’ this Sunday, 10/15!

Alice Film Snapshot for poster

Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda founded the Sai Anantam Ashram in Agoura Hills, California in the 1980’s. The community and the people are among the most warm, loving and positive we’ve ever encountered and because of that it is one of the most special places we’d ever come across.

Earlier this spring we invited filmmakers Vincent Moon and Priscilla Telmon to make a portrait of the Ashram. We wanted to spread awareness of what Alice created and the love and respect it embodied – and Vincent & Priscilla’s work felt like the perfect way to do that. Thanks to Boiler Room, it could become a reality.

The ‘Ashram’ film was first presented as part of the celebration for ‘Alice’s 80th Appearance Day’, at the end of August. The New York premier will take place this Sunday at The Mission of San Damiano church in Brooklyn, New York, together with our friends of Brooklyn English, The Lot Radio and Boiler Room.

The film will be be followed by a Q&A, before we get to experience Vincent & Priscilla’s live cinema, with a musical performance by Laraaji.
