Well, just one person buying things—because Jim White, our very own Southern gothic, taxi-driving drifter, and all around intergalactic alt.country maverick, also happens to be a regular at the finest flea market in Georgia, the J & J.

Every couple of months he shares a missive from the front lines of bargaining at the J & J—with a cast of characters so eccentric, they might as well be made up figures from a Jim White song: Like Danny the Bike Man (“he’s a hoot”) and Cowboy Clint (“he’s about as rural white southern as you'll find. In the summer his attire consists of a big raggedy black cowboy hat, a pair of dirty jeans and nothing else.”)

“The J & J is the last stop before things disappear off the face of the earth,” Jim wrote in yesterday’s post. “I make my rounds and do my best to honor the elements at play there on the precipice.”

Anyway why are we telling you this?

Because the 20th anniversary edition of Jim’s cult classic 𝔻𝕣𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕒 ℍ𝕠𝕝𝕖 𝕚𝕟 𝕋𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕊𝕦𝕓𝕤𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕖 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕋𝕖𝕝𝕝 𝕄𝕖 𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕊𝕖𝕖 is out TODAY! It’s on (double) vinyl for the first time, with three new unreleased tracks. So, you should probably get that for yourself before you do anything else:
